One clear subject, good light and a calm background give the best embroidery — a face, a pet or a drawing. We crop automatically around faces. Avoid very small details, blurry photos and subjects that take up only a tiny part of the frame.

Up to about 10×10 cm depending on placement and subject. The size is shown below the preview on the product page before you order.

The preview is a quick approximation. After your purchase we create the final embroidery drawing from your photo and check it by hand before stitching — so the result is usually better than the preview, but small deviations in lines and colours are part of the craft.

Line art and Minimal give clean outlines in a single thread colour; Sketch is a loose hand-drawn look; Colourful and Cartoon are filled with up to six thread colours; Patch is a fully filled emblem with a bold border. Try them on the product page — the preview updates instantly.

Yes, for the line-art styles you pick one thread colour yourself. In the colourful styles we choose the closest colours in our thread palette based on your photo.

T-shirts and sweatshirts are organic cotton, and the tote bag is heavy canvas. Materials and weight are listed on each product page.

The size guide is on the product page next to the size selector. If you are between two sizes, choose the larger one — sweatshirts are also cut slightly roomy.

Wash inside out at 30 °C maximum, do not use bleach and avoid the tumble dryer — hang to dry and, if needed, iron inside out around the embroidery. That keeps the colours and threads for many years.

We contact you by email before stitching. Together we find a solution — a different photo or another style — or we cancel the order and refund the full amount.

Only until production starts, because the embroidery is made personally from your photo (exempt from the right of withdrawal, section 18(2)(3) of the Danish Consumer Contracts Act). If you change your mind, write to us as soon as possible — we cancel and refund if we have not started.
